Llegar a tener un repertorio lingüístico lo bastante amplio como para desenvolverse y un vocabulario adecuado para expresarse, aunque con circunloquios, sobre temas tales como su familia, sus aficiones e intereses, su trabajo, sus viajes y acontecimientos actuales, de manera oral y escrita.
Llegar a comunicarse con razonable fluidez y con cierta seguridad, en textos orales y escritos, tanto en asuntos que son habituales (familia, aficiones, trabajo, viajes, hechos de actualidad, etc.) como en los poco habituales, incluyendo temas más abstractos y culturales como pueden ser películas, libros, música, etc. Intercambiar, comprobar y confirmar informaciones en situaciones menos corrientes y explicando el motivo de un problema. Comunicar informes breves y descripciones con cierta autonomía.
Ser capaz de comprender los puntos principales de textos escritos y orales claros y en lengua estándar si tratan sobre cuestiones que le son conocidas, ya sea en situaciones de trabajo, de estudio o de ocio.
